Ideas
First row
The first one from on the left is let S present an acute angle, then connect S and M with I, and connect M and N with O (all black). For the second one, I wanna make the S word throughout the name. The last one is to present the name inside a hexagon.

Last row
The first one from on the left is let the S tail looks like a scorpion's tail. The second one is use a circle  and make the name present inside. For the last one is make a big S, O and N in the gap between S and then turn S into 90 degrees, it becomes similar like M.

 Final choice

I choose this design for final keyframe because it is my characteristic. My friends often called me as Si mon, not Simon and there are curves because if they are straight, they don’t fit my personality. My personality is relatively unserious and flexible. The latter MON is because I have a wide social circle, so O is mine, M and N are my two friends, but they don't know each other, and I (O) is the bridge.

Since the name I designed is a bit monotonous and my nickname is XIMON, SIMON seems to have no personal characteristics, so I added an X to the S.

First I changed the transparency of the X from 0 to 100% to make it feel like it was coming from nothing. Then i and m appear one after another, then o also appears in the same way as X, and finally N.
After that I export the gif in Photoshop.

Reflection

For task 2 , I started conceptualizing and sketching after read the instruction and completing the research. I created multiple sketches and continued to refine key artwork and collateral materials, making adjustments to the design's font curves, width and more to achieve the desired results.

In this task, I think the more difficult part is the choice of color and the design of the layout. Because choosing the right colors can increase the appeal, and putting the designed fonts and collaterals into the layout is challenging because I made many attempts during the production process but only a few could satisfy me in the end. But this task is interesting because I think I can increase my knowledge and experience in these aspects of design.

The fruition of the designs reflects a culmination of countless decisions, revisions, and creative explorations. It stands as a testament to collaborative efforts, innovation, and dedication. Beyond the tangible results, this journey presented profound insights into the boundless nature of creativity and the necessity of constant learning. The satisfaction derived from completing this project serves as motivation to approach future endeavors with increased enthusiasm, determination, and an evolving artistic vision.

In conclusion, crafting the key artwork and collateral wasn’t just a design task; it was a rich learning experience. It nourished creativity and unveiled limitless possibilities within visual storytelling. This creative journey emphasized the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and a continual quest for improvement. It serves as a reminder that the process is as valuable as the outcome, instilling a desire to approach future projects with renewed vigor and an ever-evolving artistic perspective.
