Week 1 
Briefing about Illustration and Visual Narrative.


Week 2
We are going to look at all character design basics and learn about how to use the tools that in illustrator via youtube which had provided.

Iconic: Stylized designed characters are often iconic that you can immediately recognize them even in black silhouettes.

Week 3
We are going to learn about how to use the colour and how to change the colour in adobe illustrator.Then also learn how to use the shape builder to combine different types of shapes .


Week 4
We explored the Text Tool for adding and manipulating text in our designs, including font selection, size adjustment, and color changes and discovered how to create outlines from text, converting them into editable vector shapes for customization and integration into complex illustrations.The Pencil and Smooth Tools allowed us to draw freehand lines and shapes, refining them for a polished appearance.After that, We learned about the Shaper Tool, which combines and refines multiple shapes, creating new compound paths and desired forms.Joining Paths enabled us to merge separate paths into a single, continuous path, useful for creating intricate shapes and illustrations.The Width Tool added depth to our designs by varying the thickness of a path, and we also learned how to convert lines into flexible paths.

Week 5
In week 5, we were going to learn how to use image trace and 3D effect to make a 3D object.

Week 9
We learnt about light and shadow. In class, we place a picture of fruit and draw out its outline and combine the picture of skeleton. Then make some shadow and light on it. There also had a picture of man to practice to make the light and shadow.

 In class, we learnt how to use pattern, drawing modes and width tool to make a snake.

For my character design is a monster and the idea or reference is come from Mayan tribal mask so I use the shapes that had been given to design a monster.

After I finished the adjustment of the shapes, I use purple as main colour of the monster as the figure shows.

There have some bubbles around the word 'shampoo' and the theme color thar I use is blue color .The word 'shampoo' I made it a bit 3d and the word from left to right is light to dark. Then there have 2Os in shampoo word so I made 2 big bubbles to replace the common 'O'.

The background of ski I also use blue color and white colors because the 'ski' word can imagine to the snow and blue sky. Due to this sport only can play in winter so I make the word looks like frozen. Then I put some snowflake around 'ski'.
